TOBE MAKES HIS UNITEDMASTERS DEBUT

Tobe Nwigwe joined UnitedMasters in 2018 as a DEBUT artist and immediately got to work, releasing one new song per week. Armed with a healthy catalog of music, Tobe focused on promoting his music in a way that was uniquely him and true to his brand. He initially gained popularity through his “Get Twisted Sundays” content on YouTube where he independently released a new music video every week with his producer and wife, Fat Nwigwe.

Tobe releases his music video for  "I'm Dope," one of his first releases with UnitedMasters, as part of his "Get Twisted Sundays" series on YouTube.

TOBE BREAKS OUT WITH UNITEDMASTERS SELECT

As Tobe gained traction and his needs as an artist grew, he leveled up his career with SELECT and it took off. Tobe went global after being chosen for several Exclusive brand and sync placements like NBA2K20, Apple Base:line, and Beats by Dre. His thought-provoking lyrics in "I Need You" went viral, helping to raise awareness about social injustice and making Tobe a household name.

The momentum continued to build and Tobe's music received more acclaim. He broke into the Billboard charts, appeared on talk shows like Jimmy Fallon, expanded his music collabs with major names like Pharell, and recorded an original song for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.

Tobe was chosen to create the theme song "We Got Next" for NBA 2K20, which was featured on the in-game soundtrack and TV commercials.

Following the murder of Breonna Taylor, Tobe used his platform to communicate his frustrations. This 40-second video clip and artistic performance went viral on social media, catapulting Tobe onto the main stage.

During the Bubble Playoffs, UnitedMasters helped secure Tobe a spot in the Apple Music / NBA Baseline Playlist commercial performing his song "Make It Home."

Tobe was featured as voice over in the Beats By Drew "You Love Me" film, which was Emmy nominated for "Best Commercial" in 2020.

Tobe expanded his collab catalog with"Lord Forgive Me," featuring Pharrell, Fat Nwigwe, and Olu of Earthgang.

Tobe created an original track "They Want It, But No" with Fat Nwigwe for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack

TOBE BECOMES A UNITEDMASTERS PARTNER

Tobe has ascended the music industry because his music is innovative, creative, and inspiring. But more than that, UnitedMasters tools empowered him to take an astronomical leap in his career. In 2021, the UnitedMasters Artist Relations team took notice of his talent and invited Tobe to become a PARTNER artist.

That same year Tobe kicked off his Monumintal Tour, hitting major cities across the US. In 2022, Tobe Nwigwe earned a GRAMMY® nomination for "Best New Artist." And in 2023, Tobe took the stage at the Coachella Music Festival.

Tobe is the definition of unwavering persistence. With the help of UnitedMasters' world class tools and services, Tobe has forged a new path for independent artists on music's biggest stage.

"The fact that we're independent, and I started this with absolutely nothing, no foreknowledge of the industry, literally fixing a plane while flying it. It just feels phenomenal. "
